Here we describe a simple economic model of how the social enterprise project works:
Sales of goats for meat will reach approximately 5000 KSH (£40/$60) per goat. This is a potential underestimate because some goats may be sold at a ‘breeder’ price of 8000 KSH.
Females are not sold until late (36 months) when 16 female goats are sold: this is to keep fertility rates high during the herd building process.
